EXPRESS PLAN CHECK

·        No service is available.

 

OVER THE COUNTER

·        Office Hours:  8 a.m. to 5 p.m. First come, first served.

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR OVER THE COUNTER

·        No structural, no life safety issues, or no other agency review is 

      required (e.g., school fees, health department or fire department review, etc.). 

·        If any clarification is required or necessary documentation is missing 

      (i.e., insurance certificate, license information, etc.) a plan check number will be assigned and a “one stop” cycle will be issued.  Once necessary information is submitted,
 “one stop” is removed and no further review is required.

·        Planning staff may review and approve minor projects as well.

 

T. I. PERMITS

·        A short cycle is taking 2-3 weeks at present. This includes projects requiring 
more detailed staff review (planning and building).

 or agency review is required, their clearance is required prior to permit issuance.
 
Fire review is presently taking 3 weeks minimum. 

·        A regular cycle review is presently running 6 – 8 weeks for the more complicated 
plan review of new buildings.
The time frames are expected turn around time
 to generate a plan review comment list.  The time frames do not include back
 checking revisions/clarifications that may run an additional 2 – 3 weeks.

THIRD PARTY PLAN CHECK SERVICES

·           Service is available.

·           Approved lists of plan checkers for both structural only and full plan check
 
are available and will be faxed upon request. 

 

FEES

·        Plan check and permit fees are based upon valuation and the table used is in the current edition of the Uniform building Code as published by ICBO.  If fire review is required, fees are collected at the permit center at time of submittal.
